En Tryggere By for Alle
We are thrilled to announce the launch of our latest project, A Safer City for All (En Tryggere By for Alle), in collaboration with ÆRA Strategic Innovation among many others.
Can the design of our cities and architecture influence how citizens feel about safety — or even help reduce crime? This is a complex challenge with many interdependent factors that can't be addressed in isolation. We’re bringing together academia, the public and private sectors, and volunteers in a bottom-up approach to find innovative solutions.
We’re starting in Oslo but we also aim to work in the rest of Norway, Nordic countries and Europe. We are first going to analyze the city in terms of safety, learning from different case studies and put it in practice through innovation actions.
Is there a formula for crime-preventive architecture and urban development? And what does that look like in practice? What if we broaden our focus beyond physical security measures to include the subjective feelings and experiences of safety? Can we work together to turn plans into action?
